for this year's reunion lunch we got super busy in the kitchen preparing Poon Choi. cutting veges after veges, cleaning the seafood, frying, washing the salted eggs. all. these. small. details. just. to. eat! food amazes me here because think of it, generations after generations and we still give so. much. attention. and time. and effort. just. for. a. meal. it's not only the Chinese, everyone (think France, think Japan, think India), everyone gives so much attention to it that the best advice for a 6-year-old kid could be "you don't need to waste time singing and dancing and shouting and screaming and showing everyone your drawing, please just turn into a meal."
